Find Duplicate Models is a Zen Cart™ contribution which allows a shopowner to determine which products in the catalog reuse the same model number. Unique model numbers among products are required by some external systems such as QBI and Sage.

Overview:

This contribution allows you to quickly identify products which use identical model names, so you can fix them and have unique model names across your catalog.

QBI is an example of a Zen Cart plugin which requires unique model numbers. If you have duplicates, you will get an error like this:




Find Duplicate Models creates a new menu item in your admin (accessed by Admin->Tools->Find Duplicate Models) which shows a single screen listing all items with duplicated model numbers. The screen looks like this:




The "Model Number" field is a link to the product editing page, which allows you to quickly fix the model number.
