Find Duplicate Models is a Zen Cart™ contribution which allows a shopowner to determine which products in the catalog reuse the same model number. Overview:
This contribution allows you to quickly identify products which use identical model names, so you can fix them and have unique model names across your catalog.QBI is an example of a Zen Cart plugin which requires unique model numbers. If you have duplicates, you will get an error like this:
Warning: You have duplicate Product Models! Models must be unique! Correct this issue before creating iif files!
Find Duplicate Models creates a new menu item in your admin (accessed by Admin > Tools > Find Duplicate Models) which shows a single screen listing all items with duplicated model numbers. The screen looks like this:
The "Model Number" field is a link to the product editing page, which allows you to quickly fix the model number.
